Wow that a huge respond just to say yes XD but cool Originally posted by へいはち:While I always understood that classic SRW games were too difficult to release outside of Japan due to all those licenses, especially the conflict between Macross and Robotech, I never understood why they ignored western market for Masou Kishin. The short answer is yes, I would like to purchase the OG games on steam if they ever got released. The sole existence of those fan translations though prove that there is demand for those games to be released outside of Japan and those translations were never made for profit so I'm certain that those fan translation groups would't have issue taking down their own work and encourage the SRW fans to support the devs and purchase the game if it ever get port or remake released in west. So yeah, I have high hopes that since they went through all the effort to push through global release of classic SRW game, we might eventually get some of those games that never had the licensing issues, or the games where licenses wouldn't have more issues than SRW 30, but then I think about all that work that will go in vain in case of all those fan translations that will get in conflict with official western release of SRW games. Moon Dwellers got official English translation, yet it was still released only in Japan and SEA despite being banpresto original, not having myriad of anime and manga series licenses whatsoever. to do translation and western release of OG1&2 for GBA, (western branch which if I'm not mistaken have history of soiling the reputation of the Japanese parent company), then banpresto decide to ignore western market for the OGs, (because they thought that significantly better PS2 game wouldn't sell more than GBA game in the west) as well as all the follow up games with exception of Endless Frontier, but then again, that was spin-off game, released by Atlus West and thus we never got Endless Frontier Exceed. On top of that, about year after release of Coffin of the End, winkysoft filled for bankruptcy. Sure the game contain some questionable stuff, notably Maddock's and/or Saphine's actions and dialogues, but those were just Japanese inappropriate humor, not crucial for the story of the game, and imo censored western release is better than none at all, so I was quite disappointed when they made remake for DS, followed by PSP port and three sequels, and omitted the western market again. While I always understood that classic SRW games were too difficult to release outside of Japan due to all those licenses, especially the conflict between Macross and Robotech, I never understood why they ignored western market for Masou Kishin.
